Why are my returns less than I expected?

Has your bet not returned as much as you believed it should have? There are a number of likely explanations for this:

Potential Returns - The estimated returns displayed on the betslip are for guidance purposes only; your actual returns may be different.

Free Bet - Stakes are not returned on winning Free Bets.

Decimal/Fractional Odds - Decimal odds include the stake, e.g. 6.0 is equivalent to 5/1, not 6/1.

Rule 4 Deduction - If a horse was withdrawn before a race, there may be a deduction to winnings.

Each-Way Bets - The each-way terms and the number of places paid out on depend on the number of runners in an event. Non-runners may affect the each-way terms.

Dead Heat - Players often tie for the place positions in golf tournaments. If dead heat rules apply, a proportion of your bet will be settled as a loser. Dead heats can occasionally occur in horse racing, and in other sports too.

Postponed/Abandoned Events and Non-Runners - Check the relevant sports rules to see how your bet may be affected.

Cup Matches - All standard football bets are placed in 'normal time' (90 minutes result) unless otherwise stated. Extra time and Penalties do not count.

Overtime - Sports such as American Football, Ice Hockey and Basketball may go into overtime. Check the rules for the sports market in your bet to see if overtime counts.

Best Odds Guaranteed - Applies to standard UK and Irish horse racing on the day of the race only.

Errors - Very occasionally, mistakes can occur. If there has been an error in the pricing or settlement of your bet, our Customer Support team will contact you to explain what's happened. Please check your inbox for details.
